February meeting at the fire house

February 2011 Au pair meeting
We met up with the fire fighters at Station 6 today and learned all about fire safety and prevention. Today was Lucie's last meeting as her year is over next week and she will be heading back to France after traveling in her 13 months. We saw the ladder in action and everyone even got to ride in the big ladder truck. We got to see how the extinguishers work and hear the sirens go off. As always to see all of today's pictures click on Feb 2011 on the right or click here.

IT'S BEEN GREAT STAY IN TOUCH

Today also marked my last Au pair meeting as an LCC after 8 years to date I have resigned. I have loved being an LCC and enjoyed meeting many wonderful Au pairs and Families over the year. Thanks to today's technology like Facebook I get to stay in touch with many of them.

Hello and Goodbye's - June meeting

It was nice to meet our newest arrival, Ines from Germany at today's meeting. She just joined her family this past Friday.

I love when Au pairs come to visit after their time as Au pairs so I was thrilled to hear one of my former Au pairs (Matilda from Sweden, was visiting this summer and was coming to tonight's meeting. Its great to catch up and see all the things the Au pairs have accomplished since leaving after their time here. I even got to quickly chat with her former host mom and one of the kids. Its always fun to see everyone.

With new arrivals we also have Au pairs leaving. We have 3 au pairs that left/are leaving this month, Katherine, Carolina and Sarita I hope you all stay in touch it was great to get to know you. Good luck with school and work and all the fun plans heading your way.
